Ajuna Network Signs New Partnerships, Gears Up for Kusama Parachain Bid & Keeps Leaping Up!
We’ve really been boosting our XP this month! We are now getting ready to launch a crowdloan campaign in our bid to secure a Kusama parachain slot during the auctions this Summer.
Two new players joined the Ajuna clan in March, as we teamed up with the new era of Crypto powering Trust Scoring, Avarta and the metaverse pioneer Darwinia early this month.
In addition, we successfully completed our participation in the Brinc Luna Launchpad Accelerator program and engaged the wider crypto community through our Web3 Gaming Event Series and participation in the Polkadot Community Call.
This Summer, we will be launching a crowdloan campaign to secure a Kusama parachain slot. Why do we want a parachain? Ajuna makes it easy for developers to build decentralized substrate-based blockchain games in Unity and Unreal Engine. A parachain slot would give us a highly customizable base of operations on Kusama — one of the two substrate blockchains alongside Polkadot. This would provide us with pooled security from day one and a high degree of flexibility. As all parachains share a common relay chain, it would also allow for interoperability with all other projects on Kusama. As a result, securing a Kusama parachain is a key goal for Ajuna Network.
But how do parachain auctions work? Parachains are assigned for a 48-week lease period using a candle auction mechanism. Each project can bid for a slot by locking up KSM, the native Kusama token. Ajuna will be funding its auction bids through a crowdloan. This means that we will be asking KSM holders to back us by staking some of their tokens for the duration of the lease period. The best thing is that once the lease period ends, supporters regain full control of their KSM and get to keep their rewards. More details on the precise details of our crowdloan strategy and supporter rewards will follow soon, so stay tuned to our social channels.
Ajuna Featured on Polkadot Community Call
On March 11, our Head of Business Development and Growth Nicholas Douzinas discussed Ajuna’s aims and vision on the Polkadot Community Call. Nicholas appreciated the opportunity to explain Ajuna to the Polkadot community and enjoyed hearing the views of other impressive speakers on various aspects of Web3. If you missed it, you can still listen to the full discussion here.
Luna Launchpad Accelerator Successfully Completed
Mission complete: this month, we completed our participation in the Luna Launchpad Accelerator. The Launchpad, run by Brinc in collaboration with Animoca Brands, helped us to refine our product offering and messaging.
