Crowdloan Week 2 — Community Update

As we enter Week 2, we wanted to share our thoughts on our crowdloan campaign. To recap, despite a terrific campaign so far where we raised over 24,000 KSM, we failed to secure a slot by a very narrow margin in the first week.

Since then, we have been reading your comments and questions and we are listening. From the beginning, our goal was to build a community around this crowdloan. All of our actions, incentives, and bonuses were geared towards that objective. The way you have all supported us has been both humbling and motivating. To be clear, this was all because of you. We never instructed our investors to contribute and to our knowledge, they have not. It was thanks to your support that this crowdloan has been one of the most successful in recent months, both in terms of the amount contributed and more importantly, the number of contributors.

We have been open about our actions and will continue to be. In the FAQ section of our crowdloan page, we clearly stated that in the event that we fail to win an auction, we would continue to bid on subsequent slots for 6 weeks after the crowdloan campaign starts. If we remain unsuccessful after 6 weeks, all staked KSM will be immediately released back to supporters.

We are confident that this is the best strategy to secure a slot. If we were to close the crowdloan now, it would carry a risk. A new competitor or a large parachain that needs to renew their lease during the next auction could enter this week or next. It would also contradict our goal of expanding this community as widely as possible.

Moving forward, we would like to highlight some of the rewards and features of Ajuna that we will be presenting during Week 2:

We would like to thank you for your fantastic support and valuable feedback over the last week. Our vision is of a gaming platform where gamers and creators share in the value they create. We believe it is a goal worth fighting for… and a goal that should be rewarded.
